Born in Sydney- Raised in the Territory!

A soul born for the stage and a life of adventures around Australia!

This is Melanie Gray...

Melanie Gray is no stranger to stage lights and the great open road. She began her performing career from the age of 5, attending acting and dance classes in the Illawarra region of NSW until moving to the Northern Territory at age 11. Loving music lessons all the way through to Year 12, she felt her place in the world was wherever singing and songwriting could take her.

"When I moved from NSW to NT my life suddenly became full of countless 4WD camping trips and all the songs from my favourite country artists (Graeme Connors, Colin Buchanan, Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, Kasey Chambers...it goes on!) became the soundtrack of my life. As my appreciation for our history, landscapes, people and stories grew, I too wanted to put every one of my own adventures into a song. Today I'm still passionate about following in the footsteps of these artists and I have been blessed to have met many more inspiring songwriters along the way who have shaped and moulded my musical journey."
